Severe weather / environmental
Storms, extreme heat, or air quality affecting an outdoor or mixed venue.
What it looks like
- Approaching lightning, high wind, or flooding
- Guests showing heat exhaustion in a queue or rooftop
Before — design it out
- Watch the forecast; set a 'move indoors' trigger and time
- Stage water and shade; know the indoor shelter space
During — what staff do
- Move guests to the sheltered space on the trigger, calmly
- Treat heat illness fast; 911 for heat stroke
- Pause outdoor activity until it clears
Remember the spine. Notice → report quietly → let trained security assess. For immediate danger, call 911 first.
