Lost or distressed child
A child separated from family, or an adult-child pairing that seems wrong.
What it looks like
- A child alone, crying, or looking for a parent
- A child fearful of or not matching the adult with them
Before — design it out
- Two-adult rule; a designated family/info point
- Tell families a meeting spot and staff badge color
- Never take a child somewhere private
During — what staff do
- Bring a lost child to the family/info point, in the open
- Page or radio a calm description to staff
- Flag a wrong-feeling pairing quietly to security — let them check
Remember the spine. Notice → report quietly → let trained security assess. For immediate danger, call 911 first.
